Speed has Dropped - Ultimate 30

I've been on Ultimate 30 since it became available and have been pretty pleased with the stability of the service. Was getting a consistent 31M down/1.9M up here in Burloak until a few days ago. Now I can't top 24Mbps down anytime day or night. Modem stats still look perfect: 37 dbmv SNR & 31 dbmv upsteam power.

Is this a sign of node congestion in my 'hood?

Try to simply rebooting the modem. I had a similar issue, but then found out for some reason the modem dropped 3 out of the 4 downstream channels. Rebooting put me back to max speed

I am exactly the same boat in Ancaster. Used to get full speed 24/7. Now, I am lucky to get 24mb down; seems to sit in the 22-23 area.

I am almost certain it is node congestion.

Well, it turned out that a reboot of the router (Cisco RV110W) fixed the issue for me. At least for now .

I switched to the Ulimate 30 package in December 2011 and cannot achieve the posted sppeds...

I have spoke to tech support 6 or 7 times.they sent a tch out (couldn't find the problem)..they swapped my moded (not sure why, it was brand new)...

Here is teh issue, I cannot get anymore that 24mps with my computer hooked up directly to the modem...it's a brand new toshiba laptop running windows 7 etc..

Using a router and I tried 3 of them (all linkys models, the last one was the E420), I can't get anymore thant 4 or 5mps with the laoptop next to the router...I have been given various reaons for the possible drop in spped but none real sound plausbile..I have tried alering the router config, no luck..I was told my laptop has to have Windows 7 and at least a gigbite ethernet card (ti doe) and still I can't get any decent wrieless download speeds..

This was also the case when I have the previous 15mps package...anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

Its crazy to hear stuff like this. DOC 3 launched in my area a few months ago, and ive been getting consistent speed tests like this one.

Also, still waiting on a new drop to my house, currently obtaining that with a RG59 poly drop. (Im in a buried area, wont happen till April)

Hope it gets better soon.

I wish we could get more than a measly 2 Mb/s upstream. Geesh!
