Re: More internet issues Like I said, when the first tech came out, he climbed the pole, saw low signal there, but still ran a new cable to the box on the house, made the appointment, and the other techs came to work on the equipment up the pole. When they left it was fine for a little while, but now it is happening again. As a matter of fact, that tech gave me his bosses direct number to call if the maintance on the pole didn't fix it. I called him a few days later when there was still problems, he said he knew you when I mentioned the forum, but I can't remember his name. He personally came out later to swap the modem and verify signal/speed tests. Everything was fine for like a month, then this started up again. I appreciate you trying to help, but can't you schedule or forward the message to the local techs that something needs to be scheduled, it has to be something between you guys and the equipment on the pole, everything beyond that was replaced last time. No offense, I know wow tries to have great support, but in this situation, it is sad I have to come to a forum, I just happened to find out you post on to get an educated answer. 2 supervisors up from phone tech support and they still just keep offering discounts to make up for bad service. I want it fixed, not more discounts. Best solution, would be for you to forward the situation to a local tech you know can handle it, and have them call me. As you said you can verify the signal is messed up. That alone would save me 30min on the phone and several transfers, when someone like you can verify it to someone local.
Again though, thank you for your help, it truely is fantastic that you come here and post and try to help people, it really is a great service to wow customers. | | |
| | In addition, it seems like I almost have to argue with them on the phone to get them to waive the tech fee before they even come out. You saying that the issue is outside the house means I shouldn't have to pay a tech fee, correct? | | Reviews:

| In addition, and they are probably related, but HD TV reception is horrible. All TV's in the house are newer HDTV's with built in QAM tuners. The one TV has an HD DVR, and for the most part it gets good reception. However on the TV's that plug right into cable, local FOX, and ABC are spotty reception at best. CBS seems to come reliable most of the time. NBC is 50/50. | |
