 | LTE Hijacked Computer All of a sudden right after the outages I have 2 computers compromised by a spammer or something. Both running virus software and windows firewall behind a cradlepoint router. One is a Vista 64 and other is XP and the other machine on the home network is OK.
Got one machine for 11GB last night and so far I'm at 130GB on a 5GB plan. I have it stopped for now but all this occurred at night and there was no warning until I happened to catch the usage at the Verizon site.
Bottom line if you are going to leave machines on at night as we have always done without any problems is make sure you run network tracking such as BitMeter and a better firewall such as ZoneAlarm both of which are free plus there are others out there.
Has anyone else had this kind of problem? |

 | Which CP router do you have? If it's a new NetBSD based model enable bandwidth monitoring and set the connection to terminate at a set limit. This would have killed your connection at whatever limit you set on the router. |

 | I'm using an MBR1000 and I don't remember seeing an option for that but I will take a look to see if available. Thanks that would be one more safety net. |
