How will this affect the old unlimited plan at $29? This is my question too.

Any Velcom customers got 5M to 6M upgrade yet? Mine is still 5M and I know my line can handle stable 6M profile. Is it time to open a ticket with Bell (via Velcom) to upgrade?

I am with Velcom old 29/month unlimited 5Mbps plan as well and I have a question which I sent Velcom via email buy haven't received an answer yet. Maybe Velcomrob can clarify this to us:

- If we, who are currently with unlimited plans, decide to move to 400 GB plans trying to match costs, how much will be the extra GB in case we go over the 400 GB limit? They did not mention that in their email.

I feel like Velcom went out of business. I emailed them to ask questions.....no response. Looks like people were getting more responses in this thread....but no more. So frustrating.

Try to open a ticket. I always get prompt and pretty helpful responses to my tickets.

I would suggest Velcom to have a new webmaster to update their website, it's not up-to-date.

The answer to the question about the $29.95 unlimited dsl plan is this: you have been automatically change to a $34.95 plan. This is according to next month's bill in the velcom customer portal. It simply says "Velcom special" as the plan name and does not give any indication as to whether we have been put on a 400GB or unlimited plan. Customers need to know this because of possible overage chrages. Calling in really isn't an option because if we are still on unlimted plans for $34.95, the people on the phone will surely rather have us switch to a the more expensive unlimited plan.

Velcom, can we get an answer please? For those who are on the $29.95 unlimited plan and for whose bills for next month say $34.95, is that $34.95 for 400GB or for unlimited?

My next invoice shows this DRY ADSL 6.0 400GB, $34.95. I was on unlimited $29.99 before.

I don't see why the $5 dollar hike

You should have received an email from Velcom about this price adjustment effective Feb 1st. Their website is way out of date so just ignore it.

I have just had it confirmed for me that anyone who had the $29.95/month unlimited DSL plan was automatically switched to $34.95 400GB, even if your next month invoice just says "Velcom Special". To get back to unlimited, you must call Velcom to request a plan switch to the new $43.95/month unlimited plan.

Then what is the "Special" for?

Velcom Special is just the plan name listed on some customer invoices. Unfortunately, it said nothing as to which service was being provided, and is a description that was used for multiple different plans.
