| reply to Acanac Inc said by Acanac Inc:The main issue we are currently encountering is that Bell VDSL DSLAM for wholesale is using Proxy 9.14 DR4 that is CO4. BCM chip only supports CO5. I have no clue what that means, but I'd love to find out. :P Quick google search didn't show up anything.
Also how are you going to deal with the two incompatible hardware versions (Stinger/Alcatel)? |

 | reply to Acanac Inc can you guys make sure it looks pretty? |

| reply to Vntalk Bunch of silly questions....
Does DSL dry-loop fee still apply for higher speed, ie, 12 and up? Just wondering because the activation/setup fees is around 100$ for almost every IISP and could this be because they use different line and dry-loop is not needed?
Also, I am with acanac and since they are sure of at least offering 16M, is my adsl2/2+ modem sufficient? |
|
 | The dry loop fee still applies. You can continue to use your current modem for 12Mbps and 16Mbps speeds.
With that said we should be releasing our new rates tomorrow. |
|
 | Does that include On/Qc Cable rates? |
|
 | reply to Acanac Inc said by Acanac Inc:With that said we should be releasing our new rates tomorrow. any chance of getting any sneak peek today ?
just kidding ... will wait tomorrow at 00:01
kidding again ! I just can't wait to see those new prices ! |
|
 | reply to Acanac Inc will you be providing dry loop fee waiver promo on 12/16 speeds? |
|
 | reply to BaCkLaSH86 We may provide some interim rates that are a bit more competitive. For the final rates we are still waiting to see if we can properly implement our throttling strategy during peak hours. |

| Will your 25/7 modem work with both IKNS stinger and ALU 7330 remotes?
From what I understand the ALU 7330 is basically a standard VDSL2 remote which should work with just about any standard VDSL2 modem but the IKNS stinger remotes are VDSL1.5 and only work with very specific modems.
Additionally will you be selling the modems? |

You may be required to purchase at least 1000 at a time. I am sure other ISP may take advantage of this if the units works properly. |

These types of plans may not be perfect for everyone. If this is the case Distributel may be a better option. |

But you ARE Distributel, or at the very least a wholly own subsidiary or company. -- No, I didn't. Honest... I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake....... |

If i get throttled between 7pm and 12am ... better go with a lower cost/month internet plan or with another ISP that doesnt throttle at all ! |

It'll help to know what the throttled speed and price will be first. After those are announced, if you find a better deal be sure to let us know. I suspect you won't find one. |
