| [HD] My remote new to me from Verizon I am having a hard enough time navigating the new channel line up verses comcast. For some reason I cannot change the channel by remote seeing #5 lights up and lets me go no where.So I surf through each and every channel.I miss being able to punch the numbers in and think this is some type of glitch. Any help would be kindly excepted. TY |

There is no channel 5 where you are. It goes from 3 to 6. If you are hitting 50 for example, it will change in a few seconds. If you need it to change faster, press the channel number followed by the "ok" key. |

Or key in 4 digits, like 0050, or 0003, or 0600, changes immediately. |

When the remote lights up, when trying to enter my exact channel, The number 5 lights up simultaneously .I have tried doing it faster.
It refuses to except any three digit #'s because the five is always lit with all the other buttons that light when using the remote. I will try adding the zero before the rest but not sure it will work,It seems to be stuck,with the 5 highlighted everytime.
I am not sure what STB stands for.Though ,I am quick and accurate when using remotes. I hope this helps you to understand a bit better. TY for the feedback. |

Sounds like you are getting confused when the "5" key lights up when you press any key on the remote. It just happens that that key is one of the buttons that is backlit. Just because it lights up does not mean the remote has sent a "5" code out. |
