I've posted a cropped version in this thread at Canchat....

»Christmas Day at Moose Lake

Which do you prefer? Cropped or Full image version?

Thanks

The full one gets my vote and it is really a powerful image, IMHO. I love the birds in the sky, the full view of the mountains and the shadow upon them, along with the trees, etc. It shows the power and action of what these cats really do and places they do it.

As I also work in the 3D medium I can appreciate all the work that goes into modeling and texturing objects. Looking at other posts you have done you do a great job with that and, I'll admit that I really do like the "eye candy" that's in the full image.

I think the cropped image has better composition though. (If you aren't familiar with The Rule of Thirds you can find it here: »www.digital-photography-school.c···f-thirds.) I know it would require more modeling, rendering, and post-rendering processing, but I'd really like to see the full-sized version with the camera angle moved down and to the right.

Again, very nice work in the details of the models and quality of the rendering.
