| [Other] Insights Wifi Bite Insight has/had been setting up routers with internet service. I already had service and had a great router. However I thought it was cool they were doing that, then something started to happen that I didnt think about. Everyone in the area was taking advantage of this deal, so in my apartments over the last year or so its now seen that there are well over 25 Wifi's going. So guess what the signals are way over saturated. All the channels on 2.4Ghz have atleast 5-7 people and the 5GHz has quite a few as well. This has turned into a poor signal nitemare. Ive had to end up going wired all my devices and im lucky half the time if I can get connected to to what items im forced to used wireless.
Its just prooves what you stay away from still bites you. -- Intel I7-930 2.80GHz, X58A-UD3R Mobo, G.Skill 6GB Triple Channel Ram, XFX 250 Video, 5 VelociRaptors Running Raid 5, Windows 7 Home Premium x64, |

Do not let your router auto pick the channel, they will either go to channel 1, 6, or 11 and so will everyone else. If you have a smartphone there are also lots of free apps that do the exact same thing. If you have android I use Wifi Analyzer and it works great.
