[Services] Southern Indiana intermittent outages?

Starting approx 3:00PM CST, we have had intermittent connections. It seems to affect the email 'routing' since URL's that do not require a 'logon' connect more often.

Wondering if others are experiencing same.. I have four devices (two XP and one Vista laptop) and an iPad that all experience this.

log on is xxxxx@sbcglobal.net

My guess is a 'broken or cut' T1 (or some such) line and a lot or rerouting going on..

In fact, it's taken several attempts to get this posted.

I'm in SW suburbs near Joliet and it's been flaky here too. Mostly I'm seeing this with websites. Sometimes it won't pull up one site but it pulls up another... then a minute later everything seems fine. Then nothing comes up. Very frustrating.

Hard to track down too... I thought it was one machine on the LAN but then started seeing similar on another.

Then can't connect to iTunes store on iPod.

Strangely, during all this, speedtest results are good.

Weird.

BTW: My 6 MB DSL connects through the Elmhurst IL Redback.

I was using OpenDNS.

I also could not get an Internet connection with my Roku device. I switched to AT&T's DNS servers and the Roku connected immediately.

Edit: Just a coincidence. Switched back to OpenDNS and still working fine.
