Replay Media Catcher

Anyone else have a problem with RMC only capturing half-songs?

Version 4.2.8 is the one I paid for. The latest version does the same thing.

I've not used it. Any errors? Is the capture time limited (ie: only 2 minutes)?

As for when it happens, it does record many songs, but not all the time, their full length. If I right click on a song AFTER it has downloaded a "partial" and select re-process it will correct the song length, but I'm trying to figure out why it's only capturing partial songs.

Is there a version of this for Chrome yet? Testing it now. Only on the first song. The bubbles moved a bit but have stopped, cant find the song yet.

if youre using download helper on FF and the download stops, hit pause then resume it.
alot of servers are sending "chunks" of the file at a time like youtube does.
there doesnt appear to be a version of this for chrome.

Hmmm. I'm on song 3, and it doesn't appear to be putting the song anywhere unless it's naming it alphabetsoup.mp3? Am I lookingin the wrong place? Perhaps I haven't set something in the pref's properly?

Do I have to click the icon for EVERY song?

they are being saved to the default download directory as the file name its being downloaded from the server as unless you change the file name before you save it.
yes, you do have to click the icon but i think there might be a setting to have to automatically download, not sure though.

Looking around for that option now. If you find it before me let me know where it's at

nah, no option for auto download.
i see your reason for using replay media catcher though to capture the constant streams from the playlist automatically.

Darn. If we can get RMC working better or find an option that works for DH to auto download and name based on tab information.

i dont have an account with slacker so i cant create playlists to try this out with my RMC but testing with the playlist they provide, it works fine.

Keep recording a few hours each day, then go back and play some of the 1-2.5 mb songs see if they don't abruptly stop mid or mostly the way through. This is of course presuming you left song quality at the default of "mp3, optimal".

Reading the following made me laugh and question their competence, why?
USER
"How difficult would it be for DownloadHelper to automatically download the media that it finds on a page without asking?"
STAFF
"Well, there wouldn't be any technical difficulty in doing so, but it
requires modifying DownloadHelper in a way that could confuse many users."

The thought that such a feature, even if defaulted to off, may accidentally become enabled and cause unnecessary support requests, just sounds lūdicrus.

It doesn't take much to confuse some people. Although it is a stupid excuse for not adding a feature.
