 | [DD-WRT] v24-sp2 micro and VoIP Any known issues with this version and using a PAP2T telephone adapter for VOIP? We seem to have periodic problems with not hearing the caller on the other end of the line when we answer an incoming call. Our VoIP provider continues to point the finger at the router as "one way audio issues are almost always router connected".
I have tried just about everything with the router, putting the TA in the DMZ, enabling PnP, port forwarding, etc., and nothing seems to make any difference. |

| I set up VoIP using a linksys WRT54G with DD-WRT firmware about two years ago. I have since quit using it and can't remember all the settings, but I do remember it took some digging before I finally got it right. The main problem was that VoIP does not like NAT and it took me awhile to learn how to work around the problem. Here are the two main links I used: » www.coertvonk.com/technology/net···ony-2369» www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewforum.···aa4429c5 |

 | Thanks for the links. Other than forwarding ports 5060-5061 for both UDP and TCP, I had done everything suggested that I could. The TA is "locked" by the provider. |

 | reply to Phil75070 Since your ATA is locked, I cannot offer much help. Except that I have a SPA_2102 (looks and configures just like the PAP2T) with DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/12/10) mini (SVN revision 14929) on a WRT54G 2.1 I have also used this micro version on a WRT54G v8.1 Both work just fine out of the box, though I have tweaked the port forwarding on the router and many settings within the SPA.
Can we assume you use a WRT54G post version 5.1? Perhaps you can visit a forum specific to your VoIP provider? |

 | Yes on the WRT54G and been there done that in regard to the VoIP provider forum. I have swapped out telephone cords used between the ATA and my phone base station as the connection on the ATA side wouldn't "lock" in place. I haven't had the problem since but that has been the nature of my problems all along - everything is fine for months, nothing changes and all of a sudden the problem reappears. |
