2 edits | Why You Should Think Twice About AT&T Services- Let me preface this with, the fact I have nothing against AT&T and do still provide services form AT&T on behalf of clients and consumers that use their services. Though I did want to provide some background on exactly what SBC/AT&T is like not only from a customers standpoint, but also having worked for them for on and off for 4 years.
You can read the full story if you are so inclined at »whyattdestroysjobs.wordpress.com/
I am considered an industry expert by many in the field and am well known in the IT and network security fields and have ran and operated many campaigns for fortune 500 companies in a variety of b2b, b2c and enterprise services. So I personally feel for each and every consumer that gets the run around at that company how they have to get 20+ calls to install a line and bills that never get fixed.

If you are so inclined, much of this has to do with their training/hr department they have a good old buddy system over there where they allow people with no moral or ethical compass to run the company. One person in particular Mr. Greg Gawron -AT&T HR manager, is one that many, employee's, mid level managers and even executive managers HAD a big problem and I highly doubt he changed his ways. So you may want to write to the CEO of AT&T and ask for his resignation or termination. I think if they send a strong message, in the future they will clean up their organization and it is a step in the right direction.

Dear Staff Attorneys:
I just wanted to offer my support and say what a great job you are doing on behalf of speaking against the proposed AT&T/ Tmobile merger. Having worked in the Telecommunications industry for a number of years; including such companies as AT&T, McLeod, Globalcom as well as an agent for both Sprint & Verizon. I can definitely say that competition in the wireless industry is the main driving force for innovation.
I will say the biggest shock for me in my career and currently is how AT&T has stifled innovation along the way and refuses to invest in their network. They are constantly complaining through their Quarterly financials how wireline revenues are decreasing and as an stock owner in the company I feel sick of the waste and inability to streamline and effectively manage installs or get a resolution to serious business issues. Yet the simple fact remains the only reason they are decreasing is consumers are migrating towards Mobile and VOIP service; both of which AT&T has an equal opportunity to capture. However, their cellular network is really the worst of its kind, anytime I call someone with an AT&T mobile phone, I can almost bet on the connection dropping.
Interestingly enough, back in 2002-03 when Sprint was just launching their network, it was just as bad, because they did not have the capacity or switches to handle the call volume. However, since then Sprint has invested a substantial amount into their network and ranks high in customer support. Which if you contrast that with AT&T which ranks the lowest in customer satisfaction, and call quality, its easy to pinpoint the problem.
When I was with AT&T last, they were making a big push to VOIP/sip trucking. Something most of their competitors had been selling for years. When I was working for Globalcom & later McLeod both of which offered VOIP/T1′s the standard installation was right around 2-3 months. However, with AT&T they were quoting 9 months (most clients were dumbfounded when you had them sign an agreement and .. oh yeah youll have it sometime by next year if you are lucky)
Which after they consistently laid of various key departments, there were still customers over a year later that were waiting for their VOIP services to be provisioned. (if anything VOIP should be a breeze, you have a broadsoft or other vendors switch, and your pretty much there). In fact there are a number of new VOIP service providers that literally started in a couple of weeks.
In short I have to say; watching Mrs. Gigi B. Sohn speak on behalf of all of the issues surrounding this merger if it would go through was refreshing. Im sure the synergy (loss of jobs to Americans) the AT&T.T merger would bring, the elimination of another key competitor in the marketplace, almost guaranteed addition of more data caps, and certainly higher prices, leaves little reason why this represents a good move for consumers and those involved.
In almost every instance the only time that I can remember prices dropping significantly in the wireless industry, was when one competitor made a push. For instance a few years ago Verizon went to a $99 unlimited plan, almost the same day or the day after AT&T announced a similar plan. | | | Consider editing this down to facts, or at least discoverable allegations. As it is this thread, the wordpress info, and the video are rambling on a bit much to be considered anything more than a rant. | | | Thank you for the advice. I will likely have to redo the video. | | r81984Fair and BalancedPremium join:2001-11-14 Katy, TX Reviews:

| reply to jlibuszowski I have looked at the structure of different telecom companies like AT & T, Verizon and others. Similarly, I have also wrote numerous articles about how VoIP phone services like Vonage, Axvoice, and Ooma etc are run. I wonder why this HR manager is creating so much fuss without a reason. There needs to be a check and balance in every organization. No company can run endlessly with favoritism for people who are spoiling the environment of an organization. I personally know HR managers of many organizations and always idealized them for their man to man management. But we have heard only one side of the story. The manager may have his own version of the story to tell. But even then, this things needs to be stopped. Because such irrational, erotic, and arrogant behavior results in key talent leaving the company. I wish someone AT&T takes this thing pretty seriously. | | Reviews:

Your story sound interesting, I wouldnt mind know what exactly he did. Furthermore, most of these contractors he was placing in the organizaiton are incorrectly classified based on Documented Illinois labor act Specifically section (820 ILCS 185/) . Employee Classification Act.
3. Mr. Gawron in his capacity as a Sales Manager had been fraudulently converting SBC customers into AT&T customer in an effort to promote his own personal financial gain and further perpetuate an ongoing fraud. While this is not only questionable for financial reporting reasons, the biggest issue is that he was conducting these gross violations for well over a year.
4. From day one Mr. Gawron in his capacity as a Manager, had sales codes of all AT&T/SBC employees and individuals like myself who were “contractors” who he used the names and sales codes to open orders and put people under his sales codes so that he could win prizes and contest(s), which he constantly bragged about wanting to go to the Bahamas with his wife.
5. Mr. Gawron was repeatedly overhead on conference calls threatening and intimidating other AT&T Managers, who spoke up against this reported abuse. He mentioned on at least one Occasion that he “had a lot of pull within the Human Resources department and not to cross him”.
6. Upon investigating the violations against Mr. Gawron and a team of 20 or so employees, he was given firsthand knowledge of interviews. Also he talked with the internal fraud department, to scope questions and even had Mr. Gawron sign off on documents again in violation of reporting policies. | | |

But to date, since Mr. Gawron worked in the HR department, they refuse to do anything from him. Short of the government or attorneys sanctioning him or the company, there is likely nothing that will happen.
According to his linkedin profile - they even awarded him a "Recipient of AT&T Key Contributor Award." So clearly questionable SEC [securities and exchange practices] and other improprieties on his part is looked favorably by the company. Since I really don't see how you can take a SBC customer, and magically change it into an AT&T customer by playing with accounts. That on the surface seems like SERIOUS financial manipulation, and he was doing it for well over a year before I was hired.

Send a forensic accountant in there that is worth their hill of beans and they would likely be SHOCKED what that man was involved in or the 20+ people under him, other mangers that spoke out about him [that also were threatened and some either left voluntarily or where terminated],ect. | | Reviews:

Have you talked to a lawyer about whether you have standing to sue? 5. Have you set up a website or Facebook page to collect info from others aggrieved? 1. Yes, I have made reports to various agencies regarding the improprieties, as well as attorneys that work closely with those agencies you made mention of. Keep in mind that my sole interest is not about SBC/AT&T, so I need to focus on my business interest(s) first and then work on these matters secondary.
2. I wanted to keep others appeased of the issues and since I am aware of people within sbc/at&t of former individuals who worked there visit this site I thought it would be a good venue to reach those who may also have been affected by questionable employment and/or service practices by at&t or SBC Midwest.
3. My personal interest is just to make others aware, and hopefully have the contractor agreements either fully comply with state and federal law. Or AT&T/SBC should stop their practices of hiring business sales professionals as contractors since it is prone to violation(s) of 820 ILCS 185.
4. Most law firms work on a contingency basis, meaning they realize that SBC/AT&T will purposely drag out court cases and file motions with the sole intention of driving up litigation costs. So that in mind, many firms that I spoke with did not want to take on the case, simply because the needed a larger class of similarly suited individuals for litigation to make economic sense.

| OK, thanks.
You will have more success in getting your point across if you discuss all this with an editor or at least a PR person or lobbyist. Take somebody out for lunch and see if they have any ideas for you. Or pay a lawyer for an hour to talk to you about your strategy.
The whole thing about the HR guy ... well, it doesn't seem you have enough to get a criminal case going, let alone find somebody to starting poking around with subpoenas and warrants. A civil case sounds even less likely due to the cost. AT&T management probably doesn't care how he gets results as long as stockholders don't complain. Some would already say AT&T isn't concerned about customers, employees or regulators. So you just want AT&T to fire him? Here's what will work: Buy some stock (the more the better!) and take it up with the board. -- USNG: 16TDN2870 Find your USNG coordinates: USNGWeb | | Reviews:

Here's what will work: Buy some stock (the more the better!) and take it up with the board. Oh I would not buy any more stock in AT&T, they are a great investment if you are looking toward retirement or just a safe investment to collect your dividends. Which strictly speaking financially most employee's of T watched their portfolio's vaporize since they didn't understand how to watch it, and just figured their money was working for them... When the stock price was taking a nose dive over 10-20yrs.
As for the other part; I have lawyers and PR people on staff now, since I was damn sure not to let anyone else get pushed around by these fools or this weenie try this stuff with more families and hard working people. Anyway, I actually spoke to Steve Jobs before he passed about these situations, and he just said do whatever you can to make these idiots understand.... Apparently even they APPLE was/is having issue(s) with these ATT tards.
As for the rest, apparently:
This Mr. Greg Gawron is trying to recruit security professionals, and anyone who is not desperate tells him to go stick it up the _ _ _ and pound sand [since I get emails from our security folks about their hilarious offers] as well as the crazy folks that try to call up our people and pitch things like DataCenter services and don't even know what SAS70 or any of these terms mean. Especially after they Google his name. So in short, I don't think the trip to the Bahamas with the wife and needing some camping gear and all his other BS he was all self wrapped up in, is really working out in the end.
All that I am trying to do is make sure that he is fired, his pension revoked and as evil as it may sound, he have to scramble like the 20-30+ Managers he forced out and scr*wed. Either way, I already send ample warning to him and the AT&T execs about this. So hopefully he has a plan for his family and kids. | | Reviews:

Corporations like AT&T & lobbyist destroying tech inovation Jobs AT&T Truth Project vs AT&T CEO Randall L. Stephenson |
I'll say the »www.attdestroysjobs.com project is coming along nicely. I have updated the site with several new job opportunities for people considering applying at AT&T along with videos and factual information of the job opportunities you can expect while working for the "world's largest telecomunication's company"
Now some may wonder why I have not bothered to update the video, and to be frank that is part of the problem with the company and US corporations in general. That being that corporations like AT&T hire and employ high priced political activists and kStreet attorneys and current and former congressional staffers to ultimately screw their customers, employees and the American public.
So sure I could dress up in a three piece suit and provide a full blown PR site, have some of our freelance attorneys or even some former attorneys that have been laid off from similar kStreet lawfirms go on the offensive against AT&T.
But I'll just settle for providing the cold hard truth and let customers of AT&T and anyone else who is smart enough to listen the truth.

Rank Organization Total '89-'12 Dem % Repub % Tilt 1 ActBlue $58,511,226 99% 0% 2 AT&T Inc $48,196,209 44% 55%
And those are just the numbers of the political organizations and lobbying firm that can be tracked back to AT&T and SBC. Each year AT&T spends millions on hiring attorneys that only purpose they serve is to serve as a megaphone for the company. Doing whatever the company tells them to do.
So yeah I could dress up like in this picture

Starting with Lies and Garbage in the workplace helps NO ONE! Question: Someone asked why an executive would be upset that he contacted a Executive at his company. And asked "why would I email this person" since from an administrative assistant or another manager at his company..
My response:
Sounds to me like a loon similar to a manager who I worked under while at a Tier 2 regional carrier the individual had no management experience and insisted all correspondence flowed through him. The end result, was a complete breakdown in corporate communication, fortune 100- 500 clients upset, and workflow management completely screwed up. So while office politics can play a major role in corporate culture, in most cases issues like you just highlighted really demonstrate how bad policy situations or response can effect company culture.
Bottom line - what often happens is the good people will leave the organization and you are left with a bunch of YES MEN, who are incapable of thinking (which I'll admit many corporations LOVE LOVE LOVE these individuals). What it really boils down to is upper level management has more job security. Case in point - while at the worlds largest telecommunication's company AT&T we had a daily set of conference calls about regional numbers.
So you have between 3-5 conference calls to discuss a conference call, all the meanwhile the numbers are BS it's all GI=GO (garbage in= garbage out) because 30 minutes before the monthly or biweekly regional numbers are due the entire enterprise of 300+ sales reps in the Midwest region would update their numbers with junk. It was amazing though, since you would see it all being updated through sharepoint and know that these numbers were being used by the CPAs and Executives to chart business decisions for the quarter and next quarter... Anyway, bottom line was you had anywhere between 10-15 conference calls with hundreds of sales reps all discussing BS...
It's almost like the woman I described in the video at the top who actually had to hire a limo to take her a block to a training center. Because it was "too hard for her to walk a block". Well sorry, that's BS and the reason just like the 350 kid I alluded to is because they didn't want to do anything about it!
