I'm having very solid results with a Zoom bridge modem and an Encore ENHWI-2AN3 router. Configure the Zoom modem in bridge mode and allow your router to manage the connection.
My wife works from home through VPN all day and this setup has been rock solid for several months now. The router puts out a decent wireless signal and the firmware is fully featured. I settled on this router after experiencing many problems with d-link and Netgear routers freezing frequently. The only thing missing is gigabit switching, but this is not an issue for me. |

it is however not supported by AT&T which might incur tech support charges when you call for troubleshooting. |

some have wireless router features, some just regular router and some new ones doesn't have a router function at all.

Since the 3347 is a modem, router and access point it can do everything
The 3347 can be bridged and a router does the pppoe
The 3347 can do the pppoe and share the public ip with the router |
