[Help Me] Probelem with bridge D-Link DAP-1552 with D-link DSL-2

Can someone please help me.
I tried to setup so I can use my printer through my wireless.

Downstairs I have D-link DSL-2730B ip address 192.168.1.1 (default). ssid dlink.

Upstairs I plugged my multifunction printer with edimax printer server to ethernet on the D-link DAP-1522.
DAP-1522 swith - bridge mode, ip static 192.168.1.50 gateaway 192.168.1.1, status connect to ssid dlink.
Edimax printer server ip static 192.168.1.25 gateaway 192.168.1.25
When I plugged my laptop to ethernet on DAP-1522, I can access interenet, I can ping printer server, I can print

When I connect wireless I can't ping DAP-1522, I can't ping printer server, I can't print.

What did I do wrong here. Thanks.

The printer gateway can't be itself. The gateway should be 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.50.

Because you connected the printer to the DAP, the printer gateway should be 192.168.1.50, not the dlink gateway.

@optusnet.com.au

I tried gateway 192.168.1.50 before it didn't work either.
When I use my laptop with wireless and try to ping the dap there is no response.
When I connect to ethernet on dap, i can ping the dlink router/modem, i can connect to internet.

DSL-2730B IP address 192.168.1.1

DAP-1522 IP address 192.168.1.50 Gateway IP address 192.168.1.1

Printer IP address 192.168.1.25 Gateway IP address 192.168.1.1

Since the Printer is hardwired to DAP, the Printer IP address should be the DAP DHCP IP address from 192.168.1.51 to 192.168.1.xx. The Printer gateway IP address 192.168.1.1 (or 50)

DAP-1522's are not gateway devices!

The router usually the DHCP server should be the gateway. Can you not allow DHCP to assign the IP address of the Printer? Making a reservation for the MAC in the DHCP server settings. The DAP Static address needs to be OUTSIDE the DHCP dynamic pool. Anything with a static address must be outside the DHCP Pool.

You must disconnect the ethernet cable and power supply cable from the edimax print server
When you reconnect the power supply cable the edimax print server will use it's wireless
You should also set the edimax print server gateway ip address to 0.0.0.0

WRONG!!!! The gateway address is THE GATEWAY address not the bridge address.

Set the printer server to DHCP and let the router assign it. Make a reservation in the routers DHCP server = Assigning a status address with the added plus there won't be any duplicated IP's.

I have two DAP-1522's both as bridges every device wired to them (both have an HD DVR and a Blu-Ray HT wired) and themselves have the router a DIR-825 as the gateway (192.168.1.1). I have both my DAP-1522 set to static addresses outside the DHCP pool (192.168.1.11& 192.168.1.13) I have for years now run these and I was a DirecTV Whole Home DVR beta tester they worked FLAWLESSLY I could d/l on demand programs and stream HD/3D video recorded on the other. I have had wired multi-function printers also operate (I recently upgraded to a wireless N multi-function printer). I have just added two TiVo Premier's one is an XL again they are configured with DHCP and looking at the settings page they are all set GATEWAY address 192.168.1.1 (DIR-825 Router and DHCP server)

The router or wireless AP, should have:
WMM - ENABLED,
Short GI - OFF and
WLAN Partition - OFF

In the DAP-1522 I refrain from using QOS that has only created problems for me in the past. Both of my DAP-1522's are rev A running FW1.31 the original FW was 1.20 I think. I have had issues where my Windows Home Server (WHS) was not visible to hardware on the other Bridge when it itself was on a bridge. WHS does not support wireless connections! It wants to be on the router primary wired network to function properly. For me this is fine keeps it out of the way and on the same UPS as the modem and router.

Having said that being unfamiliar with the wireless server your attempting to use try it wired to the Router/AP first making sure it is visible and functional everywhere. Then making NO changes to it move it to a DAP-1522. When I was at first setting up the first DAP-1522 (It was a bear) this procedure helped me tremendously to identify my real problem (the WHS issue previously stated). I highly recommend turning any OFF any WPS features on the AP, it seemingly has a tendency to cause problems for some DHCP clients.
