surge join:2008-01-08 Bancroft, ON | [Internet] Bell Modems and 802.11N Do any of the Bell modems offer 802.11N Wireless? Currently I have a Speedstream 6520, and the speed of it I believe is the 802.11G standard which doesn't allow for very good streaming of videos across my home network. If Bell does have one that offers the N standard, how do I get it? I am on the Fibe 6 plan. I could get a N router but if I should have one through Bell as part of my plan than that I'll save myself some $
Thx |

 | See if you can upgrade to Fibe 25. Then you will prob get a Sagemcom which offers GB ports and N wireless.
they won't offer you this modem if your on Fibe 6. |

 | reply to surge well you may manage to get one with Fibe 16, with the 7mb upload. But if you can't get 25, I doubt the high upload is avail.
or you can be like me and has a rep call you offer you Fibe 25, and sign you up. And when they find out you can't get it, you get to keep the Sagemcom modem! With the highest you can get.
though I wouldn't recommend the Sagemcom with Fibe 16 it seems very unstable here, disconnecting every time it can! |

 | reply to surge Sagemcom modems are not guarantied to be sent out. They have Cellpipe also.
Yes, go out and get your own N router. Bell seems to not offer any dual-band model. Also, you will have more control on the setting of your own router than the Bell's provided ones. |
