Re: First time I have packet loss and high jitter Why is the uSNR not available from the modem stats? |
|
 | It's read by the CMTS. |

[Edit]
Wow. Give me a minute........ |

1 edit | Just got off the chat, and he said my upstream SNR is 33.5 and shows as "Good". He said my signal levels are good, and there are no connectivity issues. Maybe pingtest.net is not accurate. |

 | reply to voipnpots You in Miami? Been having packet loss and jitter for weeks in west kendall. |
|
1 edit | Yup, I'm about 30 minutes away from Miami in Pembroke Pines. Maybe this whole area is suffering from it. |

 | I live in Miami as well (Westchester) and I have been having upload issues for about 3 weeks. Had tech come out multiple times and actually found packet loss at the pole. I think something is going on in the area (upgrades/maintenance?) and they just do not want to say. Last Sunday night my upload speed was actually better than it has ever been. I had no peaks and valleys during the test. Unfortunately it only lasted that night. It was also raining at the time, (It really had not rained for awhile ) but that must be a coincidence. |
|
 | How are your uploads today ? Mine have been running well since yesterday. |
|
 | Been rock solid since saturday in west kendall. We'll see if it continues. Got my U-verse appt. for friday, so either way something will work out lol. |

I'm getting very good results now. (But for some reason the ping on pingtest.net results is always higher on my Mac than my PC - haven't figured out why yet!) |
