[DISH] Wireless access for VIP722
I have a spare wireless router. Is there a way I can use it to add my VIP722 DVR receiver to my existing wireless network?
This receiver has an Ethernet port which the manual says is intended for "future use." It would be nice if I could connect the spare router to that port to create an access point that would be recognized by my existing wireless network.

Turn that router into an access point or repeater (can't remember which at the moment). You'll connect it wired to the 722. It will send/receive data to your main router via it's antennae. I do this with my son's XBox using a WAP54G.
reply to jmorlan I have the 722. I downloaded Tomato software to turn an older wireless router into a bridging one. Now the tomatoed' linksys talks to the main wireless router. So now my 722 My TV and my blu-ray player are connected to the internet
