[Speed] Still having problems - Radcliff, Ky

Original post.

»[Speed] Slow peak times, need help - Radcliff, KY

I'm still having these issues. Slow speeds, less than 2 Mbps every couple of days. I've been contacting Insight periodically but the only thing they do is send techs out to my apartment, look at the modem signals then leave. Obviously it's not an issue within my apartment... Can anyone forward this to an Insight tech who actually knows what they are doing?

This from tonight...

Thanks for starting a new topic w/ reference to the old one.

Sorry you're still having issues

Could you perhaps give some more info? Specs for the system
Make & model of equipment you're using? Router involved..etc?

Also, can you run a speedtest to your closest location & post the results?

Perhaps one of our friendly, knowledgeable members here, or InsightTech5 See Profile might be able to assist

System is pretty up to date for what's needed. Dual core @ 3.6, 4 gigs of ram. Linksys router behind an Ariss CM550A. However I don't think any of those are an issue, because of the latency starting after I hit the DHCP server. If it were client-side I would see the latency starting at the first hop on the traceroute. Also, the router has been bypassed in previous test settings.

Here are my speedtest results.

Also, I should note that when I power cycle my modem, it takes approx 40 minutes to get an IP address from the DHCP server. Signals are all within spec, but getting an IP address takes forever, and after I get an IP the problem still exists.
