Re: Best router for my situation?I would advise sticking to the 500 Mbps series regardless of brand and avoid the tempting sales on some 200 Mbps series as they try to dump them (from reviews only the 500 have been able to stream 720p effectively).

Based on the above uRL. Its obviously better to buy the kit when available. IE netgear x1 = $71 (reg $75) netgear kit x2 = $107 (reg $139) BEST DEAL!~ Trendnet kit x2 = $120 zyxel PLA4225 kit = $160 (was $199) includes switch type~
Making sense of Trendnet TPL-401e- 500Mbps series single adaptor TPL-402e - same but adds an electrical plug so that you dont lose and electrical plug by using the adaptor 402eK means its a kit.
Making sense of Zyxel PLA4205 - 500Mbps series single adaptor PLA4215 - same but adds an electrical plug so that you dont lose and electrical plug by using the adaptor PLA4225 - 4 port gigabit switch vice single ethernet port PLA4225kit - one adaptor (4205) and one switch (4225).
As to your question whethere or not you need pairs. According to trendnet literature one unit/adaptor can feed up to 15 other units with that same connection. Read the smallnet builder reviews for 500Mbps powerline units. -- Ain't nuthin but the blues! "Albert Collins". Leave your troubles at the door! "Pepe Peregil" De Sevilla.
