Re: Is MGM releasing Wizard Of Oz any time soon in widescreen? I guess maybe they should have made the pillars emerald instead of black?
("Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain those bars on the sides.")
Better yet! ...emerald "curtains"! |

While not related to the dimensions of the Wizard of Oz, didnt Philips or someone try and market a TV that was at the dimensions of filmed movies rather than the 16:9 of HDTV? -- [65 Arcanist]Filan(High Elf) Zone: Broadband Reports |

Of course, 16:9 would still have the black at each end of the pic, but full vertical.
edit - you're right, it was Philips, a 21:9 - »www.trustedreviews.com/Philips-C···V_review ) |

After all computing power is getting to the point they could render CinemaScope and 1080p frames side by side.
Live action cant do this yet since id imagine you need different lenses and image sensors for both... in CG Animation the cameras are all virtual. -- [65 Arcanist]Filan(High Elf) Zone: Broadband Reports |
