 | [Tech Ops] Freeside Installation Trying to install Freeside on a Debian 6.0.3 box.
The instructions are anything but helpful.
Just wondering if someone could help me out with it.

Lots of people have found that the help section and manuals are 2-3 revisions out of date of what software is available to download. Many times people have found stuff left out intentially from the manuals. I think the guy does this on purpose kind of forcing you to call him and pay for support.
I played with it once and finally gave up.. |

 | reply to marrow79 I had freeside installed once on ubuntu 10.04 lts and after many hours of getting it configured and trying to get it to work I just gave up on it. So I am now looking at powercode for my billing software. |

 | reply to marrow79 Personally I don't use Freeside - I found it too hard to setup, and configure, but I think there is a VMARE image of FreeSide on the Freeside site. D/L VMWARE player and the Freeside image and try it that way it might do everything you need. |

and this covers the rest: »www.freeside.biz/mediawiki/index···allation

 | I used the links on the website - and did the install. It is tough - the mailing list helps some if you search it. We have been using it for 3 or 4 years - and we love it. I don't think it can be beat from a WISP standpoint. -- »magicwisp.com |
