Dead USG200 - "Enter runlevel:" prompt on console?

Just picked up a used USG200...unfortunately, the SYS light continuously flashes. I can connect to the console and get the following prompt:

Enter runlevel:

Anyone know what to do about this before I try and return this thing?

You can try recovery re-flash or call Zyxel or return.

I opened up the console and possibly missed the hit a key for debug message in the three second window.

Anyone know what displays on the console if you miss that?

Well...I was able to get the unit into debug mode, upload the Recovery Image and boot the FTP Server. I can connect to the FTP server as instructed, but when I try to PUT the firmware image to the device, I get a 200 Port Command Successful message from the FTP client and it then just sits there. Ultimately, the ZyWALL (from the console) will report that the firmware format is invalid.

I set BINARY mode and am trying to upload the latest firmware. Any ideas?

Final entry...

The Recovery Image doesn't like Windows 7 FTP Client. Connected up to my Win2K3 server and all is well. What a saga!
