I had it installed a month ago. The Tivo and its apps are great. The issue I have had was getting it setup properly. I had 2 hd dvr boxes previously and replaced those with to Tivo boxes. I was able to switch to the Tivo box and service with no additional monthly fee than what I was already paying. I did have to pay an installation fee but the SL folks worked with me on that. One of the best features of multiple Tivo's is the any room feature that allows you to watch what is on any Tivo box in the house. One of my boxes was not properly installed/registered initially even though it functioned as a standalone. 3 service techs, 3 service calls and 3 boxes later, things seem to be working fine. The issues were SL issues not Tivo issues. I must say that both the SL and Tivo folks were good to work with to resolve the issue. Bottom line: it's new to SL and I think it is taking some time to work the kinks out.

So you don't have a monthly fee for Suddenlink Tivo HD? I never used a cable companies tivo before. I know I used and had in the past a Directv DVR in which I was charged like 5 dollars or so extra a month in order to use and record my tv shows.

I think what CMWUNC meant to say is: there is no extra fee for the Tivo Premiere other than what was being already paid for the HD DVR boxes.
Suddenlink charges $15/month for any type of HD DVR box. If you get the Tivo Premiere, you will also have to pay the installation fee (?$30).

You don't have to pay anything extra for the Tivo service which for the retail Tivos is usually $15 or20/month or $400/500 lifetime.
