SB6121 issues

so november the 10th i upgraded my internet suddenlink cable to their 20 meg. it required me buying a docsis 3.0 cable modem so i bought the SB6161. ive had good luck with it untill the passed few days. it would just randomly disconnect so i called out the cable company. they came out and ran there tests from the poll to the line to the modem. all there signals were good when he called me while i was at work. but the issue haappend while he was here which i was glad. he said it was something to do with the modem. and been a few other cases with the same modem i have. he called it bad flaps or something to that nature and suggested i try a different modem. he said it couldnt tell the signals correctly and would fluxuwate in speeds or reboot. but his signals on his lines were good. is there any way i can test the signals? does this sound right to yall?? could i get a responce asap please!!

Re: SB2161 issues

I never heard of an SB2161 modem- do you perhaps have an SB6120 or SB6121?
