Re: Personal and main pics said by saillaw:Yeah we used to do that too was great fun.
I caught a king crab in Kodiak once that way too Did you ever have to rescue any of those crabbers like on the Deadliest Catch? |

So that when you're done eating the eggs, you have something to use to get all that runny yolk left on the plate. -- flickr | Of faith, power and glory |

Me? It all just makes me cringe. But I do love the biscuits n gravy and blue crabs from the Bay. I have never heard of chicken bog though (must be a regional thing). But my Mom grew up on hominy and scrapple. there was no need for the "actually" in reference to putting peanuts in coke. I'm from Texas and i do that. -- For Rogues, by Rogues, to be used at the Rogue drive through when you order a side-order of Rogue. |

For some reason they look disgusting to me:

Kind of like you opened a nut sack and there are the veiny testies. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Venom1 join:2011-10-21 Augusta, GA | reply to saillaw they taste great, a lil salty, but they have a very distinctive smell... wife couldn't get past the smell to try one... I ate alot... just couldn't stop putting the nuts in my mouth -- For Rogues, by Rogues, to be used at the Rogue drive through when you order a side-order of Rogue. |

ImmerGentlemanPremium join:2010-01-07 Evans, GA kudos:6 | reply to saillaw I'm a fan of boiled peanuts. But for me, they are more of a road-trip food. Scaith is correct about the smell... gotta have the windows cracked a bit while abiding by the speed limit. |

 | reply to saillaw With that pic I would prefer rocky mountain oysters. |

 | reply to saillaw Boiled peanuts are a staple here in south GA. They're best with a bottle coke (thats an original coke in a glass bottle). There is a farm here locally that has a roadside business and this is their main attraction...they also offer hay rides. Me and my wife lilke to take a hayride and eat peanuts and drink a coke....very relaxing. Reminds me of the times I spent on my grandpa's farm.....doesnt remind my wife of much as she is japanese..... |
