Not to turn this into a football thread. But similarly: Bears = running team. We could make Adrian Peterson look even better. Make sense? Forte's great, but may be somewhat overrated. He'll get his money though. |

A. Football thread is better than previous posts.
B. Chicago has its off season work cut out for it, yea running game is their (excuse the pun) forte right now but getting an O line that can stop the pass rush so Cutler doest look like a puching bag would help their passing game a lot. Cutler has talent but right now it's buried under a dogpile (so to speak).
c. he (Forte) rushed for almost a K this season...would have been more without injuries....he's worth the money at least right now. |

We had a 13-3 season lined up before Cutler broke his thumb and required surgery. Followed my Forte and Knox injuries. The remaining games were trash games that we still almost won with Caleb Hanie's terrible 3-4 interceptions per game. So again... the Bears could ALWAYS use help with their offense. But our 8-8 season is not nearly as bad as it appears at first glance. |

I'm a Broncos fan, and one long before Tebow showed up. I've been following them since 77...used to live in Denver...fuckin Hate Dallas to this day for beating us in the Superbowl back then when we had the orange crush defense.
I feel your pain Treebark, Josh McDaniels fucked us good....Cutler is good.
As for Chicago, you dont have to convince me they are a good team (I actually went to college with Mike Tomczak's neice)....Bears are great, but the above issues I mentioned are still weaknesses that have to be worked on...cant keep subjecting Cutler to the beatings he has been taking...he's good but his career will be shorter in that situation. |
