Re: Anyone ever post a personals ad on Craigslist? A few years ago, as an experiment, a buddy of mine and I decided to post an ad on Lavalife. What we did was we posted the ad as a woman seeking a man. We did not post a photo, but did post a description that was a little too "perfect".
What followed was quite amazing.
By the next morning, we received over 3000 responses. It was nuts (no pun intended).
Many contained photos of men that we knew were TGTBT. Several photos we ran through Tineye and noted they were images pulled from magazine and pr0n websites.
We received about 300 responses (10%) that included photos of the respondent's johnson. A couple dozen of them were quite... lurid. A handful were quite disgusting. One of them was a 400LB tow truck driver from Pensacola Florida in full birthday suit. You don't want to know - didn't eat for a week.
We still laugh about it to this day.
Mike -- No more UBB... nor more AVP... now it's "Capacity Based". Oh... wait... isn't that what we wanted? |

Quick note. I updated the "casual encounters" ad, and it hasn't reappeared on the list yet. If it doesn't show up later in the day, I'll resubmit it. The other two ads are still visible. -- Watch my future television channel's public test broadcast! »thecanadianpublic.com/live |

Many of the "fish" were simply looking for a quickie in the afternoon. a previous co-worker used that site during the week and had "dates" every weekend with a different woman...good for fun, but i wouldn't go there for anything more than that...most of the girls, he couldn't even remember their names (had to look them up online to remember who was who)...kind of like a movie. -- My friends, love is better than anger. What I meant was that it was dropped entirely from the list. It's still in the system, but it hasn't been re-indexed. I may have to submit it again. -- Watch my future television channel's public test broadcast! »thecanadianpublic.com/live |

Many of the "fish" were simply looking for a quickie in the afternoon. A female friend posted an ad on that site a while ago. She now refers to it as "plenty of douchebags". |

BTW, in 12 hours, I've already been favourited once, and received a "Meet Me" request! That was fast!
All I've received from Craigslist up to now is spam. There wasn't a single legitimate email in the whole bunch! LOL! -- Watch my future television channel's public test broadcast! »thecanadianpublic.com/live |

A female friend of mine refers to it as "Plenty O' Freaks" I call it Plenty of Shit. Cause that's what it really is. Hate that site. Did go on a few dates with girls from there, but I don't think it ever worked. Met a few loonies as well. In the end I met my current gf and supposedly wife-to-be (as well as few ex's with whom it worked pretty well) on a paying site. Was worth every penny. |
