Re: [SWTOR] Best in PVP it's ok, operatives have 40% less armor pen now. They just tickle a bit instead of 1 shot the game. |

Armor Pen was also applied AFTER Shoot First / Hidden Strike, therefore negating the argument that Armor Pen did anything other than hurt their overall sustain damage. | Post nerf? Depends on how they do their rotation but you'll have a moment in between the K.O. knock down and the Dirty Kick (sorry I really don't know what their abilities are called) where you can usually get off a defensive CD or try to knock them back.
Otherwise Escape the Dirty Kick.
If you get them at range, slow and nuke. Make sure to get a bleed on them too for vanish protection. I know the Gunslinger knock back is really silly. BACK I SAY. SNARE I SAY. SLOW I SAY. PEW PEW PEW PEW. Hehe, always makes me sad when it happens to me.
Anyway, if they're doing that...other one...with the Dirty Kick / Flash Bang combo...Escape won't matter but if you feel the need, do it on Dirty Kick since Flash Bang is just a mez and you won't worry about the K.O. on Shoot First. -- Lore Nerd. Well.. my gear is still shoddy, and my reaction time could be a bit slow as I get older, but yeah, Op or Assassins generally, at a minimum have me at sub 50% health before I can pop defensive cooldowns and knockback, etc. Even if they have lower dmage output, I'm still dead unless I get help once this happens.
Sometimes you don't always have your cooldowns ready either...
They are definatly my bane though. |

| Post nerf Scoundrels / Operatives are most certainly the "rogue" class in this game. No other class has the same amount on control when it comes to actual engagement and deciding when to engage. It is right up there with the classic QQ Stun Lock hate fuck of yesteryear, just got to know what to break and when to break it.
If you're getting out geared however, it doesn't matter who you're fighting against, someone in like...three piece champion going against a BM geared player, I don't give a shit who it is, they're going to die. The gear difference is fucking staggering. -- Lore Nerd. Role Player. Raid Leader. Healing Priest. Slightly Annoying. Also Likes Kittens. |

The gear difference is fucking staggering. Yeah so I hear. Apparently there is a developer blog, however, where they are going to make the gear differential matter a little less. Gear is gear but I hear it's going to be brought a little more even so people who aren't fullly deck out aren't completly fucked.
I'm not QQing mind you. Someone who has put the time and effort in should be able to beat me all things being equal, but in a team situation, be able to at least react and buy yourself those few seconds to get away or get help makes it more fun. |

Pvp is hard. Since youre low level, youre getting a huge boost from the bolster buff, it helps a lot. Just wait until 30 or so when that buff dosent quite bring you up to the same level as it is right now. |

 | said by Tehuno:you got good gear for your level? The bolster buff consistently declined in power for me. I doubt it. Not sure what to compare my gear to, but I'm a bit overleveled for the quest rewards I'm getting so I suspect my gear is a little behind the curve.

 | reply to Mike So yea....I'm feeling strong in pvp as a sorc healer....just healed for a tad over 510k in an alderan wz....more than double the next healer |

Tehuno join:2005-01-18 Bartlesville, OK kudos:1 | dont they nerf heals by 30% in warzones anyway? I cant crit for 2500 in a wz, but i can get almost 3500 crit heals in the open world. |
|
 | Yea, on that note i am not sure. I dont feel like my heals are weaker in a wz, but i have never really stood there long enough to notice...lol. I do know that for guarding middle turret, sorcs own. AoE heal and AoE dmg to keep the turret safe plus an AoE knockback. 70k dmg and 510k heals is my best so far... |

| reply to Adalicia Operatives can still take people to 35% when their opening stun wears off. Meaning they will 100% of the time.

After you come in contact with an enemy player, for I think 10, 15 or 30 seconds(cant remember exactly) you have a debuff that reduces healing on you by 30%.
Now, I didn't pvp at all this weekend; this is just goin from my memory last week so I may be wrong. -- Slydermv--In short.. hookers save lives.
