Assassins get Force Shroud.. I mean cloak of shadows. It's 100% wipe too not that 90% bullshit WoW did. It's my god mode button.

That's like a 5k shield at 50, Tehuno.

With the lag, healers are nearly unkillable unless you prison rape jump them.

No, I just find it silly to give one Stealth based class Cloak of Skill but not the other considering if you're going Scoundrel and not healing you're basically functioning in the exact same way that the Assassin / Shadow is, you're a Rogue that has massive burst opening damage but then drops significantly in damage output.

If their reasoning seriously is Triage, or they expect us to blow Defense Screen (our Paladin bubble) when ever we need to hit Disappearing Act (Vanish) to either escape or set up a second Shoot First when we normally couldn't Stealth, I'm sorry but bullshit. Triage won't remove two of the four effects unless your balls deep into the Healing tree, and Defense Scan is on a 45 second cool down, only lasts 15 seconds, and I'm fairly certain it doesn't black all damage. One small tick will break Stealth, IE Disappearing Act, and even talented that is on a 2 minute CD.

I tried four runs of a SWTOR BG last night (the one where you try and capture three guns that shoot at your ships).

As a lvl 13, even with the buff, I couldn't heal well or dps well. I had fun, but I could definately tell that that I am lacking some abilities. I'm not sure the buff vs. lvl brackets was a good call.

Next patch is setting up a level 50 bracket

Rumor has it 1.1 will drop next week as well.

Which worries me, I need to get my gear banged out before I'm locked up with all these 50's that abused the system already and are sporting Champion / Battlemaster.

Finally got my first piece of Champion gear. I can foresee this being a long and unlucky grind. Cross my fingers and hope I can get at least another piece or three before the patch.

I'm cool with there being an RNG element to Champion gear, I get it, it makes sense, but getting only three Centurion commendations on a Champion bag that fails to have a piece of Champion gear is pretty fucking lame.

To me, its stupid to have it luck based. I mean you might get a t2 piece, but the commendations arent even to buy the t2 pieces you are unlucky enough not to get, they get you t1 pieces. So now you have 2 half complete sets, yay?
and the same goes for t3 bags, they contain t2 tokens. So how the hell do you get t3 tokens?

PvP gearing is way more complex than it needs to be.

No, it is actually really simple.

Lookit, if you do the PvP Dailies, both the ones from the fleet and the ones on Ilum, plus the weeklies, you can get 20 Champion Bags (or Battlemaster if you're Valor Rank 60) from just those.

Every 800 Warzone commendations you can get another Champion Bag.

Each Champion Bag drops 1 to 3 Centurion commendation. 1 if there is a Champion Item, 3 if there isn't.

Battlemaster bags drop Champion Commendations and Battlemaster Tokens.

Centurion / Champion / Battlemaster all share the same set bonus. So you can get your 2 Piece / 4 piece with T1 / T2 / T3.

It doesn't need to be 4 pieces of T2 to get it. It can be one piece of T3, two pieces of T2, and one piece of T1.

well at least they share a set bonus. Yeah i had to go out and read a guide on how pvp gearing worked, which tells me its harder than it needs to be.

They could have done it like this:
1 piece of centurion gear costs say, 500 merc commendations, cant buy unless valor rank 30.
1 piece of champ gear costs 750 merc commendations, cant buy till valor 45,
1 piece of battlemaster gear costs 1k commendations, cant buy till valor 60.
Boom, much less complex system.

2 things i still havent figured out- how to get battlemaster bags, and how to get t3 tokens. From what you said, you get t2 tokens from battlemaster bags right?

Because then you're stuck by your valor rank. Doing it the way they have you can get reasonably geared for PvP at 50 if you haven't PvP'd at all on the way there.

I don't know what Rank you are but imagine going into a 50 only bracket, when it happens next week, being valor rank one, and trying to get up to valor rank 30 just to get the gear you need to be competitive when you're essentially getting stomped by people in that gear from the get go.

Not easy, nor fun.

This way, regardless of if you're only Valor rank 15, or 25, you can still get the gear you need to be competitive.

Battlemaster Bags are awarded via the dailies at 50. You have the choice between Champion Bags or Battlemaster Bags. Battlemaster Bags ARE limited to people that are Valor Rank 60.

By token do you mean the "Un-assembled (Whatever)" that you turn in for an actual item or do you mean commendations?

What is the point of PvPing as a level 12 when level 50s (or 30s and 40s for that matter) are running around just killing me with their higher level moves? Didn't Bioware adjust it so that we are all basically on the same level except higher level players have more moves at their disposal?

You're not going to get steamrolled... but you're also not going to do too well either. You can hold your own but you'll still get smoked because of your lack of gear for your level.
