Has Verizon bumped it up in "the queue" since its rebranding last year? New episodes of Modern Marvels and The Universe are only shown here. They also only show documentary content, much of it in HD. None of that reality show garbage. They've been showing far more HD material since changing from History International.
This channel is basically the History Channel prior to its transformation into a redneck reality show hellhole and its absence from FiOS TV is a glaring omission. I think Verizon should just dump the History Channel and replace it with H2 if it's a space issue. It's far more deserving of a QAM space than "History"
Yeah. Maybe it's a good thing that it's not "in the queue."
It seems like all the stuff people are clamoring for that's "in the queue" like BBC America HD, Cartoon Network HD, and G4 HD gets thrown to the side and on those RARE occasions it sprinkles a little in the desert that is FiOS TV's HD additions landscape... random stuff no one was asking for gets added like BET HD.
That stupid new Byron Allen channel "Legacy.tv" will probably be the only HD channel Verizon adds this year...
I'm not anticipating any new HD for quite some time with FIOS. They don't even have plans to add basic HD channels that 20+ other smaller companies carry.
I don't even know how they compete in some areas like Tampa with Brighthouse. It boggles my mind...

Simple, its the internet speeds
I could give a hoot if some channels that would be in the ultimate platinum cobalt tier are missing ...

Price too. Verizon is cheaper or equivalent for most bundles. I switched from bright house back in the summer of 2009 and the primary motivating factor was the frequent macro-blocking on HD channels. Many channels were practically unwatchable. Bright house has all the HD channels that I miss on Verizon (Cartoon Network, Tennis Channel) but inferior quality for a greater price isn't something that I could easily stomach.
