download file automatically on website

Hello all (hope this is the right place for this question)

I have a website that I paid someone build. Well now they took off and I am trying to maintain it myself (so far so good). Here is what I want to do.

I want people to be able to click text on the website and a template file downloads automatically. Here are some options in the hyperlink. I have been playing around with it, but it seems that the only options are for something to pop-up showing the page where the template is located. What I am wanting to do is it just have the file download. The file is a jpg. I can use the pdf. or eps if that makes things easier.

These are large files that are located on the website of the company that has the printing press. I am not wanting to store these files on my website as they are very large high resolution files (and there are hundred's of them).

Thanks for any help. I have attached some photos for reference.

Thank you,

nu

Why are you so surprised to see sinners in church? Are you shocked to see sick people in a hospital too?

I am trying this: link
the result is that it opens the .jpg in the same window without downloading it. At least on my 3 computers.

Your browser opens the image because it knows how to handle it. It doesn't know how to handle the PSD so that's why it prompts to download it. There are methods that will force a link to be downloaded, but they require you to have the ability to control the HTTP headers that are sent to the client. You likely don't have that option via a GUI checkbox.
