 | Just ordered DSL Extreme! Two questions Hi, so, I put in my order last night and was told to expect an email confirmation. I'm used to receiving these things instantly or in under a few minutes, but I still have yet to receive mine. Also, when I went to log into my new account on the DSL Extreme website I was told I needed to reset my password, and that would need to be done through email as well. Likewise I have not yet received that email.
I have an @sbcglobal Yahoo email address from my current ISP and I'm wondering if that is the cause? In the past, though rarely, I have had emails sent to me rejected by them for unknown reasons. If this is the case I could switch to an alternate Gmail address, but since I can't log in on the website I think I'm going to need help from one of you support guys to do this.
And, my second question: When ordering the service I read that I should *not* cancel my current service with AT&T until DSL Extreme was up and running. When will I know when this is? Will I be notified when it is safe for me to cancel with them? I'll be running into a new service month with them soon and would like to avoid paying extra charges.

 dslx_nick join:2011-12-24 Chatsworth, CA kudos:11 | We don't have any trouble sending emails to Yahoo email addresses; first thing I'd check would be your spam folder, especially if you have any custom mail filters. It IS possible that the mail message got lost or undelivered for some other reason, but I'd start there.
Correct, you shouldn't disconnect your current service yet. That helps get you up and running with us faster; the switch-over is typically done within 3-5 business days in such cases. We'll call you and notify you of the expected activation date (service should be with us by midnight of that day).
