[Cable HSI] Northeast NC Customers having slow speeds?

I've been having slow speeds and drops for quite some time, but whenever a tech comes it is working ok. They have been here changed some cable, changed fittings that were wet.
The last couple of times a tech was here they mentioned over utilization and said they would ask if anything was going to be done about it.

My questions are:
1. does anyone else in this area have this problem?
2. is the system over utilized in this?
3. if so does anyone know if there is something planned to correct this problem?

1. Yes we have the same problem in Moyock.
2. Yes
3. Chad may help, and is responsive, but the information he can get is suspect. Fixes were supposed to be in Nov, then Dec and now Feb.

Although I was told that they upgraded the equipment in Grandy which probably services your area.

#3 is not really his fault.

You are correct about #3. Chads been great if you need a routine diagnosis or account check. The point is don't take his word to heart, because he can get the same misinformation. It is frustrating. I would not be employed for long if my performance and status updates with capital projects was like Mediacom. Then again, it's a different standard.

Although, if the OP's problems are signal loss and drops, the problem likely lies with the router or modem. If he can track wild speed swings via a test site, it is more than likely a utilization issue.
