| The Finder - anybody catch it last night? Anybody else happen to catch this last night?
It reminds me a lot of Human Target, pretty tame pilot but has some potential...

 | I watched it. Thought it was pretty good. I'll continue to watch it. It's not "original" in design, but it's done well. |

| reply to darcilicious I thought it was pretty good.
I thought Saffron Burrows was going to be in it because she was in the episode of Bones that was the intro to these characters. But the cast is pretty good. -- "Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats." - H. L. Mencken

 | reply to darcilicious Didn't see it. Plan to watch it (online) -- liked the Bones episode, too. (More to the point... where's the sci-fi/anime tie-in? ) |

I know but we did talk about it before Besides, isn't it a little speculative that he has "super find-it" powers? |
|
 | That would just make him some variety of "savant" (as in, a little "off normal"). Now, if you want to say he's part alien (from one of our overlord ships crashing on Earth and "mixing" with us lowly humans) or something like that, well, that's different. (I wouldn't know about "before"... missed it apparently.) I'm just sayin'... -- "Sorry for not responding to your post, but either I haven't seen it yet, or what you said was so devoid of substance that I found it utterly uninteresting." |

| reply to darcilicious Dang it. I dunno if the DVR was set up for it.
I saw the Bones show where they introduced the Characters from the new series.
The series is based on a book series called "The Locator". -- Is a person a failure for doing nothing? Or is he a failure for trying, and not succeeding at what he is attempting to do? What did you fail at today?. |

| Yeah, there are two "Locator" books by Richard Greener (»www.amazon.com/Richard-Greener/e/B001HMMGPM). Looks like they're both going into reprint this year (Jan and Mar 2012).
Greener's third novel, Trapped, looks a little auto-biographical. |

| I don't think he is writing anymore. After reading the summary to Trapped, he sounds like he is pretty disabled. Also lucky to be alive. I was going to buy those books last year [mainly to support someone from a city I lived by], but when I went back this year the price was hiked up. I think due to the show. Last year they were around 4 bucks a book.
There was one "independent" book I read awhile ago, I think would make an ok movie. RansomX. The plot is women are kidnapped and they have to have sex on web cam to earn their ransom. The acts get more degrading as time passes. The FBI agent is Moulder like, which made the story interesting to me. The story has many errors that an editor would have caught, but if you over look them, it's fairly decent.
