[Anime] FUNimation sues everyone ...

Funimation Sues A.D. Vision, Sentai, Others for US$8 Million

Ridiculous, just ridiculous.

No matter who wins, the longer this gets drawn out, the worse for the consumer. The American industry is weak enough as it is, and now FUNimation is forcing not only the others to commit money toward the lawsuit, but they also have to commit money.

I can't help but feel hatred toward FUNimation. I like that they have been one of the few companies trying to succeed in this market, but this is a low ball move and they are obviously trying to get a monopoly.

I'm too pissed off to think about this further right now. This has ruined my night and I have plans to get together with my few anime friends tonight. *sigh*

When a loan is "sold" to another creditor down-the-line, the consumer of that loan is still on the hook for the loan amount, even though they may not have signed a contract with the new loan-holder...this is typical finance, and if Funimation's purchase contract states as such, they will win.

The companies who benefitted from Funimation's "funding" won't be able to get out of it just because they personally weren't a party to the original loan contracts.

A: Two. One to hold the bulb and one to rotate the universe.
