Is there a aux external GPS antenna input on the rear? May be worth checking. Better sat acquisition, and more accurate positioning as well. |

 | reply to mattmag said by mattmag:There are multiple sensors in the transmission that can be used for the VSS signal. Automatics compare speeds of input shafts vs. output shaft to detect slippage and control shift points, which isn't needed of course for a manual box. There a chevy dealer service rep that on the the camaro5 forum he going to check it out. Another replied with this
The speed sensor on the auto trans cars is inside the trans and wired direct to the tcm/valve body, the speed signal is sent out from the tcm on the data lines from the tcm to the other modules
Looks like I am out of luck on this. -- Caddy |

 | Yeah the only place to get an actual signal from the speed sensor would be inside the transmission. The sensor goes direct to Transmission controller/valve body, and then from there it is all data communications. -- -FuriousG- |

 | I called a couple of installers this morning. They it not needed and they do not connect it. -- Caddy |
