First game I've watched this year and Santos' performance tonight coupled with what the announcers have been saying is honestly got me questioning already why he is the closer. |

Blame Rogers, cheaping out and not signing Papelbon...
There is no salary cap in baseball. |

Well there is always that.
But more so I am confused that Cordero use to be a closer who is now in setup and Santos' is the closer.
Doesn't make sense. |

What a way to blow a great start by Henderson Alvarez. |

They've said all along that if Santos doesn't have closer stuff, they'll go to Cordero to close. Well, guess what, 0-2 in save opportunities is a pretty telling start. Now, it's early on (only the 2nd series of the season) but you gotta be able to count on your closer... |

7-1 Jays in the 7th inning.
Jays starting seems to be pretty solid so far this year. They're saying that 'this is what we were expecting from them'...if this is what they were expecting, this team is going to be a handful for any the play against. |

I'm really looking forward to the first series against the Tigers. It looks like the Jays are going to play more 'small ball' this year, and the Tigers are hitting the ball like it's a red-headed stepchild. And everyone who thinks they know is saying that the Tigers are the team to beat this year. Well, their pitching is suspect, and can be lit up on any given night (umm a 13-12 final anyone?). If the boys in blue can hang with them in a series, then this team just might be for real. |
