| realMyst crashing after playing the game for a bit. For some reason realMyst is crashing after I start to play the game. Right before it crashes I'll be walking outside around the buildings then the game will slow down a bit and then crash. Then I'll be in that one building were you see that person talking to you from in a book. I'll go to drag that file in to the book and then realMyst crashes before I see the person in the book. |

|
 | Blue screen of death followed by a memory dump then an automatic reboot. |

CylonRedPremium,MVM join:2000-07-06 Bloom County | Then you need to post more details - like the BSOD or search the internet. Without specific information - no one can help. There can be a TON of reasons for any number of BSODs.
There are also programs like 'Who Crashed' that can help find the cause of a BSOD by reading the memory dump. -- Brian

I would start with those and make sure you don't have a hardware problem first. Start eliminating those one by one. |

matt5 join:2001-10-06 Lagrangeville, NY | Really, rather than start with the BSOD code you would look at a bad psu. Interesting. I hope those were not in order at least... psu on top... memory next...
Should be reversed for the "correct" order.
OP, BSOD codes... we need them unless we are to just spit out guesses. |

If he were to say, "But I can play BF3 for 6 hours straight without a problem!", then I would probably look elsewhere. |

matt5 join:2001-10-06 Lagrangeville, NY | So you are going to ignore the fact all I need to do is type in realMyst into google and things like this come up?
»forums.steampowered.com/forums/s···=1415363 (just an example)
Can't help but notice it does not seem MADE to run on 7... and people are doing works arounds to make it work.
But you keep going with the PSU you might have something. I mean really, who knows with the 0 info we have.
Of course if you think it is the PSU you should be telling the OP to run OCCT's PSU test. |
|
 | reply to floydb1982 Floyd, you may want to run OCCT's PSU test. |
|
 | Dissembled where do I download that at? |

The BSOD isn't just an uninformative crash that forces you to restart your computer. It can help lead you to pinpoint exactly what the cause is.
WinDBG is the program that is used. It requires a free install from MS and possibly some supporting software (developer shit). But when it is set up, it converts that dump into useable information. -- A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have. -MLK |

Be careful with that program, since it will put your PSU to its maximum load, you don't want to blow up your PSU just to do this test. -- "Do not follow where the path may lead.
