Waterfox 9.0 does not update

I tried several times to update WaterFox to update from version 9.0 to 9.01 according to sourceforge site : »waterfoxproj.sourceforge.net/

"Jan 7, 2012
Posted by: MrAlex

Waterfox has now been accepted as a project by Mozilla and has been placed on their website! Waterfox 9.0.1 has also been released, but at the moment is only available through the internal updating program available in Waterfox 9.0. This is to try and iron out any issues for the release of Waterfox.Next."

No way... When I check for updates I got the message "Waterfox is up to date"..
Does anyone has better chance ?

Not a Mozilla project, but rather, a project 'powered by Mozilla' ....there is quite a difference!)

RapidShare?
How come the download is being hosted there and not on the publishers site?

I noticed that to about the file being hosted by rapidshare.

I went back and looked in the Waterfox 9.0 thread, and found the link where I downloaded that version from.

»waterfoxproj.sourceforge.net/downloads

I wonder why they did not update that page to include version 9.0.1. In looking at that page, they do have a lot of other versions of Waterfox (going back to 4.0).

I've gotten one of my machines updated through the internal updater but can't get it on one other all of a sudden.

Did a quick search on Bing and found the link to here.

What the heck's the deal with going through Rapidshare?

Just about enough right there to make me switch back to Palemoon 64bit!!

Who knows which format the file
waterfox-9.0.1.en-US.win64-x86_64.complete.mar

is?
It is called 'update for Waterfox'.
How can i use it?

The built-in update service seems to be rubbish.. Does not work...

Greetings!

Not sure where you got that file, as the 9.0.1 file is

waterfox-9.0.1.en-US.win64-x86_64.installer.exe

I sure wish they would make a Linux version. Although, Linux already has some of the best Web Browsers you can get. Would be nice to have WaterFox as an option for Linux as well.

I'm actually using Firefox 9.0.1 on Linux x86_64 (openSUSE 12.1) right now. So that's the same as WaterFox? I thought WaterFox was different from Firefox... ???

I apologize for the misunderstanding

linux has some of the best browsers you can get? which one's other than firefox, seamonkey and opera?

all the other one's crash and hang so much, or don't render squat, that they're useless!

Not true at all if you know what you're doing. I'm running a Windows 7 and Windows XP Virtual Machine on my Linux PC which I can switch to anytime needed (Rarely ever. I don't remember the last time I needed to use it since I had to update/reboot the Windows Virtual Machines).

Therefore, you should make sure you know what you're talking about when it comes to Linux because "Technically" I can run virtually anything you can on your Windows PC Native on Linux via Wine and other means.

The essential difference is being hosted at Mozilla vs. not: »www.mozilla.org/projects/ (but as to what constitutes the "Mozilla community" ...well, that can seem a bit nebulous at times).

Waterfox and Firefox are two separate applications.

Firefox is a 32 bit version of a browser, and can run on both a 32 bit and a 64 bit Operating System.

Waterfox is a 64 bit version of firefox. According to the Waterfox page, the folks on the Waterfox development team take the firefox source code, and then compile it under a 64 bit sub-system. Waterfox will only run on a 64 bit browser.

I hope that helps!
