Can i still get cable at my house?

Ive been looking into getting TWC because i dont have many options for ISP in my area currently i have a 10mb dsl plan which i only receive 4mb dl around 1mb ul. I live kind of far from the hub so i understand the drop and how dsl works. My question is i want to switch to TWC because they offer a 15mb Turbo plan, but i have all underground utillity service to my house. I live about 450' to the pole where cable runs throughout my sub division. Ive called TWC and let them know my concerns about the distance and the guy on the phone said he'd have a service tech call me sometime next week and let me know if i could get it or not. I was just wondering if anyone on here has any experiences with a long underground cable run and what you had to do to make it work. Im concerned about the db loss and having a weak signal or no signal at all. Thanks for any advice.

At 450 feet, service is doable.. if you end having to pay for the install, tell them it is alright if they install a pole on your property..
This generally will reduce the install costs, as overhead wires generally are faster to put up as well.
