Re: Linksys E1000: Is it bricked?

I went through the same thing yesterday, but I did the 30/30/30 and went back to the original Cisco software. It did not come back easily.

I would try the 30/30/30 reset again.

I could not get pppoe to work and I found out that DD-WRT would not fix what is wrong with the E1000. I could not use Open Dns because the router does not honor manual dns entries. It uses the ISP dns first no matter what is manually entered. My D-Link does what I tell it to do.

Router Model Linksys E1000 v1
DD-WRT v24-sp2 (12/20/11) std-nokaid-small - build 18024

I have no problems with dns, my static is setup like this:
DNS 1 208.67.220.220 (opendns)
DNS 2 8.8.8.8 (google dns)
DNS 3 192.168.2.1 (router's dns which copies my RG's DNS, which is my ISP's DNS)

All my computers use opendns, google dns as backup, and my isp's dns if all else fails(which never happens).

Sometimes if you don't do a hard 30-30-30 BEFORE you flash, and the AFTER you flash, not all options work correctly.
