Hi. I'm installing this camera right now. I'm able to remote view the camera through browser, but having problems getting it into D-ViewCam. The software is so ugly and old looking; it looks like it came from 1998 but that's neither here nor there I guess. I scan for the camera and it comes up, I put admin in the name and enter the password I use to login to the software (I think that's the password it wants? I tried admin and blank, just in case.. same result) and I get the error "Can't connect to IP camera. Please check the network setting." Am I forgetting to do something? Doing something wrong? I'm stuck. Any advice is welcome.
I figured it out. I guess the admin password needs to be 6-8 characters. I was doing a name+numbers password which was 9... instead of saying "Hey that password is too long" when you enter it, it just continues the setup and clips your password to 8, shaving characters from the end.
