Re: [NFL] Championship Weekend Discussion

. . I think you mean to say Ravens-Niners not the Giants.

Eh, maybe. Whatever.
I'd just like to see a good, tight, entertaining game for the Superbowl.

Though I'm not sure a 9-7 regular season team that was dominated twice by Washington is the sort of team that really deserves to be in the game.

If it was the year of the offense, Green Bay would still be alive.

Or maybe Green Bay would still be alive if they had only played some offense on Sunday?

Just a thought.

That makes it fun. I always seem to enjoy the games that are played in crappy weather (snow, fog, rain).

I'm looking forward to a rematch of the greatest Super Bowl I've ever seen, Super Bowl 42.

Or, a rematch of Super Bowl 35 would be great too (but with a different outcome, of course).

I like when receivers dive to make a catch and slide about 8 yards with mud spraying up around them.

They are fun to watch, aren't they?

But I don't like it when the field conditions are so bad that a ball can be punted, hit the ground, and NOT bounce.

The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco. -Mark Twain

The coldest day I've ever felt was Fourth of July at Candlestick Park. -Someone else

But it's not July or Candlestick. So it should be pleasant enough. -Me

LOL I remember that.

@fatness: that's awesome to watch. After a couple of quarters everyone's uniform is brown. Players having to wipe mud off their facemasks and losing shoes. I wish baseball played in those conditions. Might actually get me to watch it again.

I was looking forward to a showdown in the mud with my wife before the game.
She's not going for it. Sadly, it seems the good ol' days are probably over.
But hey, I'll settle for an NFL championship game in the mud!

I remember that game. Sometimes the wide receivers and defensive backs would be standing there looking for the ball like an outfielder who had lost a ball in the lights.

You ain't the only one, sailor. I've been browsing the sports forum all morning, just to make sure I'm not spacing out again and missing a game.

A mere three games left to the entire season!

February is the sporting pits for me. I have little interest in basketball or hockey.
March, baseball spring training starts, with the added bonus of knowing that spring training means warmer weather is not far off.

Normally I would be spending the afternoon playing the Big A, Aqueduct Race Track....but due to our very first snow of the season racing has been cancelled......Heard also they cancelled racing down in Philly as well....and Yonkers for the trotters this evening.

Spent the morning with neighbors moving snow around and was looking forward to a couple of races this afternoon....no racing, no football What a drag.

jabarnut, just a heads up: you'll need to start drinking earlier tomorrow since the games tomorrow don't start until later. If this causes any problems at home tell her that the Sports Forum recommended it.

February is a drag sports wise....I never got into hockey...what else is there? NASCAR starts in Feb I think...but not much interest there either.

But there is horse racing so I'm happy with that.

Lol! Will do, fatness. She already knows that whatever advice this forum gives me, I always go with it.
I've also told her to not be driving anywhere tomorrow. If she thinks I'm jump starting her car again during a championship game, she's got another thing coming.
That's why I pay for AAA. (Um, and yes, that's "AAA", not "AA").

Final racing post
___

Race # 8

POST POSITIONS

1 Passionate Lady
2 Bare Belly
3 Silk Panties
4 Conscience
5 Jockey Shorts
6 Clean Sheets
7 Thighs
8 Big Dick
9 Heavy Bosom
10 Merry Cherry

AND THEY'RE OFF!

Conscience is left behind at the gate. Jockey Shorts and Silk Panties are off in a hurry. Heavy Bosom is being pressured. Passionate Lady is caught between Thighs and Big Dick is in a dangerous spot.

AT THE HALFWAY MARK

It's Bare Belly on top, Thighs open and Big Dick is pushing in. Heavy Bosom is being pushed hard against Clean Sheets. Passionate Lady and Thighs are working hard on Bare Belly. Bare Belly is under terrific pressure from Big Dick.

AT THE TOP OF THE STRETCH

Merry Cherry pops under the strain. Bare Belly is making a final push. Big Dick is in and Passionate Lady is coming.

AT THE FINISH LINE

It's Big Dick giving everything he's got and Passionate Lady takes everything Big Dick has to offer. It looks like a dead heat but Big Dick comes through with one final thrust and wins by a head ... Bare Belly shows ... Thighs weakens ... Heavy Bosom pulls up ... and Clean Sheets never had a chance.
