Re: 2 words, ok 3, well maybe more. I agree that politics is a huge part of this, but willful ignorance and the devil of RIAA/MPAA lobbyists (with cash and promises) is as well.
Obamacare was wildly unpopular with voters and it passed. As a result several congresscritters and senators have decided to "retire" because of the backlash. They knew it was unpopular and cut very toxic special deals that went public, and voted for it anyway. None of those ex-politicos are hurting for cash. They'll fall on their sword if the price is right. |
