Status of New DVR?

Just thought i'd check in to see if WOW_Dan had any updates about the status of the new DVR. I'm currently a Comcast subscriber anxiously waiting to switch back to WOW, the Docsis 3 bump was huge, now i'm just waiting for the icing on the cake.

I'm waiting because I am presuming that if I switch back after the upgrade is in place I will be more likely to get the new setup off the get go as opposed to having to swap out the modem and set top boxes.

An installer told me they have them in their houses right now for testing. It's expected to launch for regular customers in the Spring.

I can't release any details at this time about the new units. If you would like to be added to the waiting list, send me a PM with the following information.

Thanks Dan!

How big of a difference do you suspect it will make if I waited until after the roll out vs migrating back before. I'm assuming that whenever the roll out happens it will be gradual, and that new customers would get the new setup when they were installed, as opposed to having to change them out.

The whole house solution that the new DVR is based upon will cost more than the current units. It will not be a matter of new customers getting them. Anybody will get them as long as they order them.

In other words, they are not a replacement for the current DVR.

I would suggest waiting until the launch. This would avoid having to have two truck roll appointments. There would probably be an upgrade charge as well if you had to have a second truck roll, so best to avoid that possibility.

I got everyone's messages. Currently I don't know of any new channels being added. I don't find out new channel launches until just before you guys do, so I can't really provide much insight on that front either.
