 | cost question I was thinking of upgrading to an HD Triple Play package from the regular Triple Play. Would I qualify for any discounts or promotions like the visa card? |

 | why wouldnt I since I am upgrading? I want the free hd but it isn't worth the extra $50 just to include hbo and starz plus lose my free dvr for 3 months. If it was $10 and I could get the gift card then probably yes. |

 | Only one way to find out... |

Call and ask. The worst case is they say no. -- I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I am not sure you realize what you heard is not what I meant. Nixon |

| reply to mikedz4 If they say no you could open an account under another name.
Also see if there is FIOS, AT&T U-Verse, etc in your area (even if your exact address isn't serviceable!) and ask them why should I stay with Comcast for $$$ instead of going with X for $$. -- PRescott7-2097 |

| If there is another person that lives at the address or just someone that really trusts you and would let you open an account under their name, with their SSN, etc, that is fine. I am by no means suggesting the OP just pick a random name and try to open service under it. -- PRescott7-2097 |

 | reply to mikedz4 talked to someone about it. They said I do qualify for the cheaper prices and promotions (like free dvr, showtime, etc). They told me I don't qualify for the visa card BUT even if I did not to do it because it locks me into the package for 2 years. |

|
 | I was told I qualify for them but promos vary by area so to call my local area. |

 | They told me sometimes they have promos like 6 months free showtime or others like that. They also quoted me the same prices I was quoted for my parents last year including the $159 premier price |
