The right CMS

Wordpress vs Joomla vs Drupal
simpler....................more flexible

Novice web designer looking that has coded some PHP and HTML in the passed, looking for a new way of doing things. Which should I look into first?

I need to rebuild a site to both make it more manageable and more aesthetic. It will be used to post lists of equipment for sale, have it searchable, post picture and videos for each description product, add a mailing list and eventually add a shopping cart(maybe).

Any opinions out there?

As much as people have been able to customize it to look otherwise, wordpress is still a blog that lets you have pages. The site I run for work is wordpress based. If I'd been around when they had it built, I'd have used joomla. It feels more like a real CMS, and is much easier for a newbie to follow, rather than finding a convoluted theme, and figuring out how to get the different posts to feed into portions of of specific pages. I haven't used drupal for a while, but I would still do that over wordpress, as a beginner.
