— the bulb is filled with liquid.

The liquid is a non-toxic, non-conductive, food-grade fluid that is used to cool the LEDs that strangely enough can be found in the beer making process and also in women’s cosmetics.

Hmm... sounds like they are using chitosan dissolved in water as a cooling fluid. I have some in my beer supplies. Sounds interesting.

This does sound interesting. I wonder if they will solve the RF interference issues that some LED's have as well. So far I've tried 2 different LED bulb brands in the garage door opener and both kill the range on the remote opener to like 5 feet from about 25-30 feet. I'm planning to try a Phillips LED next time they are on sale but that's the last one to try. If that doesn't work I'll have to stick with incandescent for now.
