| Confusing We just switched from Direct TV and signed up for Suddenlink Advanced Digital TV and a DVR. I thought that you had to have a cable box, but we don't have one. Also, found out from the installer that we can't get HD channels or a DVR even though Suddenlink's webpage shows them available here. |

Suddenlink does not even provide digital cable in your area the highest channel is 61 which means you are on 450MHz system that has not been upgraded to handle any digital cable channels. I would switch back to directv because it looks like you wont have digital cable until they upgrade the system to all digital or 1GHz which could possibly never happen. |

 | That's what was confusing on their website. They offered an advanced digital tv package with HD and DVR which we ordered and then find out that none of that is actually available. They do go up to channels 96, 98. and 99. |

s2 @suddenlink.net | Unless the plant is using digital the channels will show up actually on the frequency they are for example channel 61 is 444mHz so it is safe to say your plant your on is 450 plant,
Channel 98 is 109mHz Channel 96 is 97mHz Channel 99 is 115mHz |

Isn't selling access to goods and services that you don't actually offer, like, against the law? I'd seriously look into that, because it goes beyond simple shoddy business practices. |

Thats like you having a steak, someone offering you a fly, you drop the steak, take the fly |

| Well, for me it comes down to two reasons...there were many channels that we did not watch and being a disabled vet on a fixed income I saved a few dollars. Incidentally, with an installation of Media Portal and XBMC on an old laptop I am currently satisfied with my setup. |
