[Tech] Viper alarm with remote start.

I am planning installing a viper 5701 or 5901 alarm and remote start. I also going to use a expresskit db-all bypass to by pass the ignition. the bypass has a door lock interface. The alarm and bypass has a D2D connector. On the bypass wiring diagram it has the wiring ing broken lines with a note saying if the D2D are connected you do not need to connect these wires. Are the door lock unlock and unlock and door trigger controlled by the bypass?
I have a pdf of the remote start and bypass install manuals.

Generally, yes. GM vehicles are mostly controlled via the CAN bus, which is what that interface is for. You don't need to wire the door lock triggers directly from the Viper brain, as the bypass does it.
